Dermablend flawless foundation application

Dermablend Flawless Foundation

Firstly, to achieve a flawless foundation look, you need to begin by prepping your skin - so cleanse, tone and exfoliate. It’s really important to exfoliate your skin as it stimulates the blood supply, and helps to remove any dry, dead skin cells, so it’s going to leave your skin clean and fresh.

Next, apply a moisturiser in circular motions – I really like the Vichy Aqualia moisturiser. Leave the moisturiser for 5 to 10 minutes to soak into your skin before applying your foundation.

When you are choosing the correct shade of foundation, it is important to test it on your jawline, not on the back of your hand or wrist. Your correct shade should simply disappear into your skin.

Furthermore, foundation comes in several mediums: compacts, liquids, powders and creams. I prefer to use the Dermablend Corrective Fluid Foundation as it glides on the skin, and you can really build up the coverage. The foundation also has iridescent particles in it, so it doesn’t leave your skin feeling flat – but gives you a radiant, healthy glow.

There are 3 main methods of applying foundation – with a foundation brush, a sponge or your fingers. However, I think a foundation brush gives you the best, even coverage.

Next, use the Dermablend Corrective Stick as your concealer. I usually use my fingers to apply it and just pat it onto the area underneath the eye. The warmth from your fingers will actually help it melt in your foundation.

Now that you have a flawless canvas, it is important to seal the foundation in place. The Dermablend Setting Powder really extends the life of your foundation, and gives you the perfect base to apply any blusher and eye shadow.

Flawless foundation in place, away you go!
